The Fireweed Institute operates across many Indigenous homelands, with some of our team working on their own territories — making traditional land acknowledgements both obvious and unnecessary. Instead, we root our work in accountability, reciprocity, and Indigenous governance. While our Centre of Excellence is based on the unceded lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and shíshálh Nations, our responsibility extends across all the territories we work within. We honour the land not through performance, but through principled relationship, host nation consent, and our commitment to economic liberation led by and for Indigenous peoples.
