Kristin brings over eight years of dedicated experience in the financial services industry, specializing in Indigenous businesses and communities. With a proven track record, she managed the financial portfolios of over 30 Indigenous Nations at CIBC, overseeing a combined lending portfolio of $100 million.
Her expertise extends to fostering economic growth and sustainability, particularly in her role at Raven Indigenous Capital Partners, where Kristin collaborated with Indigenous start-ups, contributing to their development and success. This hands-on experience has equipped her with a grounded understanding of the unique financial landscape inherent to Indigenous communities.
Currently pursuing an Executive EMBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership, Kristin is committed to advancing her skills and knowledge to better serve the financial needs of Indigenous entities. Taylor’s maternal lineage stems from the Espaniel & Commanda families from Sagamok and Nipissing Nations. Her paternal lineage is mixed settler decent from England, Scotland, and Ireland. Her ancestral gifts are a long line of entrepreneurs in all directions of her family tree! She is grateful to practice beadwork in the way her great-grandmother practiced. Further, her ancestral gifts are leadership and advocacy for community wellbeing.
With a career spanning experiential marketing, strategic communications, hospitality management, and community development, Taylor brings a wealth of experience to the Fireweed Fellowship. Currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Indigenous Leadership, Taylor is dedicated to leveraging her diverse skills and unique insights to promote financial empowerment and economic liberation for Indigenous People. Taylor also sits as the Strategic Advisor for Woodland Wealth; an Indigenous led private capital firm.
